Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a Christian to attend?

Not at all. Our Sunday service and Friday playgroup are open to everyone — people exploring faith, people of other beliefs, and people who simply want community. You will never be pressured or singled out.

Is the playgroup really free?

Yes. Our Friday playgroup is a free community service run by screened volunteers. Craft, music, outdoor play and morning tea are all provided at no cost, thanks to the generosity of our church family and donors.

Is Grace Community Church a registered charity?

Yes. We are Thornton Church of Christ Incorporated, ABN 18 473 842 346, registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Our annual reports and financial statements are publicly available on the ACNC Charity Register — see the link in this page's footer.

How can I get help from the community care ministry?

Simply reach out — by email, through the form above (choose "Community care assistance"), or in person at any gathering. Help is confidential, judgement-free, and you do not need to attend church to receive it.
